Billingshurst Emergency Assistance Team

‘The Circuit’ is a software that all Ambulance Services in the UK use, in order to manage and direct people to their nearest defibrillator. You can see a map of all the Defibrillators clicking the image below:

We get notified every time one of our defibrillators are deployed by an Ambulance Service, where a member of the public is sent to retrieve it for the potential or actual use on a patient in Cardiac Arrest.

These devices are always there, waiting for the worst. Owing to a lack of information and patient privacy, we will rarely know if a defibrillator has been used to save a patient, on each occasion however, it has been seen fit to have it out of the box and attached to the patient prior to an Ambulance arriving, this likely means chest compressions are ongoing or the patient has stopped, or is likely to stop breathing imminently.

To show how important these devices are, we wanted to share with you, the dates and times BEAT Defibrillators which have been deployed to incidents in the last 12 months.
